Even though large gatherings and events have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis and we’ve all been told to stay at home, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a little live music. This weekend, Canadian performers will be broadcasting their concerts through social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, so be sure to tune in and support your local musicians. I have compiled the list below for your enjoyment.

Friday May 22:

The JAGD quartet will be live on YouTube at 12:30 p.m. CST.

Christina Martin will be live on Facebook at 7 p.m. AST.

Duo Concertante hosts an album release party on Facebook Live at 8:30pm EST.

The Homebody Festival will be live at 7:30pm EST here.

Saturday May 23:

Jeremy Fisher be live on Facebook at 11:00am EST.

The Homebody Festival will be live at 7:30pm EST here.

Sunday May 24:

The Homebody Festival will be live at 7:30pm EST here. 

May 25-31

May 25, 7:30 p.m. EST: The Scotia Festival of Music will post various performances on Facebook.

May 28, 12 p.m. EST: Musicians from the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the National Arts Centre Orchestra will be live on Youtube.

May 29-31 at 7:30pm EST:  The Homebody Festival will be live here.

May 31, noon EST: Gerald Finley will be live on YouTube

The National Arts Centre is hosting concerts daily from 12:00 pm EST here.

David Foster and Katherine McPhee will be live daily on Instagram at 5:30 pm PST.
